Employees at Ace Hardware in Scappoose are preparing for a grand opening celebration starting Friday, March 11, to showcase the store’s new remodel.
Store manager John Ketels said customers who have already shopped at the redesigned Ace Hardware have an immediate, positive reaction to its “openness.”
“Customers who have been shopping with us for a while are really impressed with how the store looks and the presentation of the store. It’s a more open feel,” he said. “From the front of the store, you can see the whole store.”
Refreshed product displays, including video presentations of select items, and expanded departments round out the redesign.
The grand opening celebration begins Friday, March 11, and extends through Sunday, March 13. Scappoose Ace Hardware store hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
At the celebration, customers can explore the remodeled store and enter to win prizes that will be raffled off throughout the day. Some prizes include a barbecue grill, Georgia Boot footwear, a patio set, Carhartt brand apparel, and more, Ketels said.
“Also, we’ll be giving away a free item to the first 100 customers each of the three days,” Ketels said.
Complimentary coffee and donuts will be available each morning of the grand opening event. And, as Ketels explained, other food offerings will be available on select days.
“Saturday, we’ll be cooking hotdogs out front and we’ll also have a pellet grill demo as well. We’ll be sampling off some food on our Green Mountain pellet grill,” he said.
