UPDATED PHARMACY & ACE HARDWARE TO OFFER MORE SELECTION
WHITE SALMON, WA June 7, 2016 – After 27 years of ownership, White Salmon Hi-School Pharmacy is getting a complete renovation, along with the adjacent Ace Hardware store. White Salmon Pharmacy, located at 291 E. Jewett Blvd., was purchased from Forrest Walker in June of 1989 by Steve Oliva, owner of Hi-School Pharmacy. In March of 1998, Oliva built a new building across the parking lot and relocated the pharmacy to this new location. Then in May of that same year, he opened a 5,000 sq. ft. Ace Hardware store in the original location.
We are now in the process of doing some repair work and remodeling of both locations, along with some remerchandising as well. We will be relocating the pharmacy department back to the original location, and adding a privacy room for patient consultation and immunizations. Also featured will be a complete line of over the counter health care needs such as cough & cold relief, pain relief, first aid, oral hygiene, vitamins and much more. In addition, the health & beauty department will include cosmetics, hair care, bath & skin care and personal care. Greeting cards & wrap, party goods and candles, along with a Kodak Photo Processing kiosk and picture frames will be offered in this location as well. Impulse and seasonal items, plus candy, snacks and pop round out the variety mix.
In the newer building at 250 E. Jewett Blvd., we will relocate the Ace Hardware store, expanding many of the departments, such as plumbing, electrical, paint, automotive and fasteners. This 8,000 sq. ft. of Ace Hardware will enable us to offer more selection and variety of merchandise available to our customers. In addition to our hardware selections, we continue to offer in-store services, including key cutting, screen repair, knife sharpening and computerized custom paint color matching.
General merchandise departments will remain in the other 5,000 sq. ft. of this building, which includes sporting goods, housewares, toys, school & office supplies, electronics, consumables, As Seen On TV products, beer & wine, expanded seasonal & outdoor merchandise, and more.
We look forward to having our remodeling and relocating completed in the first part of August, and will be celebrating with a Grand Opening of our newly remodeled stores in early fall.
